We have stayed at many places but this cottage is by far the best place we have ever stayed in. The attention to detail is amazing. There was so many comforts down to doggie treats and even something for their collar if they get lost.
The beds were comfortable, the coffee was wonderful and the home was light and airy.
We did go over to Jitterbug on Sunday but our welcome wasn't felt there however, everywhere else we went, we had a great time. We enjoyed Sweet Carolina's Cupcakes in Savannah and went back the next day for cupcakes to take home. We did the usual tourist things and even experienced the Grimble House Paranormal which was very cool.
We would definitely stay here again. Thanks for the great time.

We thought the cottage was perfect. Beautiful home, in great condition and a perfect location. Thank you Mermaid Cottages, we will come back again.

We try very hard to think of anything that might make our guests comfortable We have rented condos for many years ourselves and had a short list that was important to us. Number 1 a comfortable and large bed. Number 2 I love to cook when I feel like it so having the right pots, pans, bowls, dishes, and wine glasses are important to me. We have a dozen wine glasses in the cabinet on the table side of the bar with paper umbrellas, fancy tooth picks, etc. Always worry guest won't find them so I also keep a few of the wine glasses in the tall cabinet over the stove. I have both non-stick and stainless cookware and a nice new block of sharp knives another pet peeve. We are planning on adding the larger waterfall shower heads in the outdoor and master bath this trip. Just because I think that might be a nice little extra detail. Just purchased new sheets and towels etc. in January. We try to leave supplies too like ziploc bags of all sizes...great for shelling! Waxed paper, plastic wrap, and foil. Everything is usually out when we come so we stock back up. Mermaids keeps all the other basics stocked for our guests. We can also shop online at the local IGA and have groceries delivered...but we usually just go do it ourselves. We like to stop on the way in a couple of miles out on Route 80 at the cleanest neatest vegetable stand really more of a store. The growing season is longer in Georgia so we are often surprised to find lots of homegrown tomatoes and watermelons there along with fresh veggies. Boweys Fish Market is a 2 minute walk from Paws so fresh veggies and seafood pretty much takes care of our shopping. We tend to eat lunch out and dinner in which allows more time for quiet biking and walking in the evening.

Packing our new one piece beach towel, pillow, bag thingie's AWESOME for carrying on foot or over your arms like a pack pack on the bikes.

Planning on taking the oyster mirror that Mike finished for the entry way in the great-room. We actually steamed and ate the amazing oysters, then cleaned the shells, bought a wood round from Home Depot, a mirror from JoAnn's Fabrics and lots of hot glue later it came together. I will share the finished picture when we have it in place. I just finished repainting our Paddling Poodles sign that Jane Coslick had made for the back porch deck. It got splattered by deck stain so I brought it home and brightened it up with my artist acrylic paints. As Jane says...Happy Colors! Next post should be from Paws & Paddles. Planning on writing that one from my big comfy Chaise Lounge on the sunporch...it makes me feel like Barbara Cartland the romance writer...the chaise has a huge shell shaped back and I remember pictures of Barbara in such a chair only she was draped in lots of diamonds and scarfs...I'll be the one in flip flops, shorts, and the oldest comfortable tee shirt available!

Laters...
